Jamie Oliver’s Super Squash Balanced Breakfast Smoothie
This roasted squash and banana superfood smoothie by Jamie Oliver is a healthy and delicious balanced breakfast in a glass.
This smoothie has lots of delicious and nutritious ingredients. It has slow releasing complex carbs, dairy, nuts and two of the five daily fruit and vegetable servings.

Squash and Banana Superfood Smoothie Recipe
- 1/2 a small slow roasted butternut squash
- 2 large fresh or frozen bananas
- Big handful of nuts (pecans, hazel, brazil or almonds)
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 2 handfuls of porridge oats
- 2 heaped table spoons of yogurt
- 2 cups of milk
Sweeten with honey or maple syrup if you would like sweeter. But why not try it without any sweetener first? Both the squash and the banana is sweet, so it doesn’t need more sweeteners.
Blend or Whiz it up as Jamie would say.
Grate over a little nutmeg and enjoy!
This is a huge quantity and makes four servings.
