High Fiber Delicious and Refreshing Summer Smoothie
I love smoothies always, but they are particularly amazing in summer. Summer smoothies are most likely also healthier in that they are lighter.
Cucumber is my favorite base for smoothies. It is made of 95% water and hydrates and cools the body, which is even more important in summer. They are rich in fiber and has all kinds of vitamins, but that is an article for another day. 🙂 Apples are also high in fiber and is believed to help control insulin levels and is filled with antioxidants.
This high fiber refreshing smoothie below by Dr Apovian, like all her recipes, are high in protein mixed with delicious fruit and vegetables.
