This is one of my favorite smoothies. It may look a little basic, but it is absolute nutrition in a glass. The cucumber is hydrating. The spinach is packed with nutrients. The apple and lemon gives it a great taste and the ginger gives it a bit of zing.

This recipe is great with any type of lettuce. I like lettuce in this recipe because the flavor of lettuce is milder than spinach and kale. The mint and cucumber gives this smoothie a very refreshing feel.

On those days when I really do not feel like a sweet or fruit flavored smoothie, then I enjoy this delicious savory smoothie. It is a little bit like a cold gazpacho soup. It has a mild flavor, is hydrating and good to balance electrolytes.
