Exceptional and Delicious Wild Blueberry Detox Smoothie
January seems to be detox month. Everybody is looking to detox and kick start the new year with a healthier eating program.
So in response to the demand and interest in detoxing, I have been scouring the internet to find delicious, nutritious and exceptional detoxing smoothies.
This wild blueberry detox smoothie was created by whole foods enthusiast Alexis Joseph. Want to know more about her, then check out her food philosophy here.
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)
- 1 cup frozen Wild Blueberries
- Handful of kale
- 1/4 of an avocado
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Pinch of black pepper
- Squirt of pure maple syrup, stevia or Medjool dates to sweeten, optional (I used 2 dates)
Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.

What I like about this wild blueberry detox smoothie recipe is that it is dairy free. It is rich and creamy, thanks to the avo and the turmeric and black pepper gives it a stunning kick.
