This skinny berry smoothie is made by designer Alanoud Badr who has recently lost a lot of weight. She says that she likes this it as it is light and a good way to jump start her metabolism every morning.
This breakfast is packed with antioxidant rich berries, iron rich spinach and good fats, fiber and protein from the seeds.
My Take on this Recipe
Berries and spinach is very much the basis of many of my own breakfast smoothies. I personally don’t add protein powder to my smoothies, so will add more seeds and maybe even a few nuts.
I always soak my seeds before I add them to any drink. Preferably over night, but if that is not possible, I soak them for at least 30 minutes.
